i think that before the walls go down maybe have keep inventory on and respawn
the only downside would be that if their's lava this could be a technique to get to the surface quickly hmm see what you think... i just think its irritating when you lose a good 4 of your teamates for falling off a tree or falling in an endless pit someone dug

Or they are set back a bit like lose someone they recently dug.
maybe a respawn time could be added
